The Cam Clark Auto Group is seeking an experienced Automotive Diesel/Transmission Technician for our Santa Monica Ford Lincoln location in Santa Monica, CA.

In the position of Licensed Automotive Diesel/Transmission Technician, reporting to the Service Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring our customers’ vehicles are safely and professionally repaired to the highest manufacturer and industry standards.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose vehicle concerns using advanced diagnostic equipment and manufacturer‑approved procedures
- Perform diesel and/or transmission repairs, overhauls, and inspections with precision and efficiency
- Conduct routine maintenance and general mechanical repairs, including: oil and fluid changes, tire rotations, and brake, suspension, and drivetrain services
- Complete repairs in accordance with Ford warranty guidelines and dealership procedures
- Clearly explain repair findings, recommendations, and services to advisors and customers as needed
- Ensure all work meets safety, quality, and compliance standards
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with OSHA requirements
- Collaborate effectively with technicians, service advisors, and management
- Perform other duties as assigned to support dealership operations
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- 2+ years of experience as an automotive technician, with demonstrated expertise in diesel and/or transmission repair
- Valid Automotive Technician certification (ASE certifications preferred; manufacturer certifications considered an asset)
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
- Strong knowledge of complex mechanical, electrical, and computerized vehicle systems
- Excellent diagnostic and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- High level of integrity and attention to detail when performing diagnostics and repairs
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills

Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
Experience:
