Position Summary:
The Mechanic is responsible for performing basic preventative maintenance and minor repairs on vehicles, equipment, and machinery to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation. This position supports the shop team by completing scheduled maintenance tasks and assisting with inspections and repairs as needed.
What You’ll Do:
- Perform routine preventative maintenance including oil changes, tire rotations, fluid checks, and filter replacements
- Inspect brakes, lights, belts, hoses, and other vehicle and equipment components for wear or damage
- Lubricate moving parts on vehicles and equipment as required
- Maintain accurate service records and maintenance logs
- Assist senior mechanics with diagnostic work and larger repairs
- Keep tools, equipment, and work areas clean, organized, and safe
- Report any mechanical or safety concerns to supervisors
- Follow all company safety procedures and use required protective equipment
What We’re Looking For:
- Mechanical aptitude or prior basic maintenance experience preferred
- Ability to use hand tools and basic diagnostic equipment
- Willingness to learn and follow direction in a shop environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying environmental conditions
- Valid driver’s license preferred
