Our client is a YC-backed AI legal startup seeking a Founding GTM / SDR to be one of their first go-to-market hires in San Francisco. This is a rare opportunity to build pipeline from the ground up at an AI-native legal company — with a clear path to an AE closing role within 9–18 months.
You'll work directly with the founders, own the full top-of-funnel motion, and sell into in-house legal teams at venture-backed and mid-market companies.
What You'll Do
Drive high-volume outbound prospecting (60%+ of the role) into in-house legal teams
Run discovery calls and support customer onboardings alongside the founding team
Build and manage pipeline in CRM with accurate forecasting and clean handoffs
Partner with founders on ICP refinement, messaging, and market feedback loops
Grow into a closing AE role within 9–18 months as the team scales
Key Requirements
1–3 years of GTM, SDR, BDR, or sales experience with proven outbound pipeline metrics
Legal background required: JD/law degree OR prior experience at a legal tech company (Harvey, Lagora, Robin AI, Luminous, Clio)
Demonstrated ability to sell into or engage with lawyers and in-house legal teams
Hands-on outbound proficiency — sequences, cold calling, booking qualified meetings
High EQ — genuinely credible, likable, and energizing with senior legal buyers
Motivated by a path to AE and comfortable with high outbound volume
Paralegal, legal ops, or non-attorney law firm experience a plus if paired with strong GTM track record
