SeaWeed Co. is looking to hire an Extraction Specialist to work at our processing lab in Auburn, ME. Candidates must be able to work a 4 day work week between the hours of 11:30am - 10pm Tuesday through Friday. Training hours may vary from the normal schedule.
As an Extraction Specialist, you are a critical member of the SeaWeed Co. team. In this role, which reports directly to the Extraction Manager, you support post-processing of producing oils and concentrates that are truly representative of the quality that SeaWeed Co. is known for in the cannabis community. It is a highly skilled position that requires precision, attention to detail, and a constant effort to learn and expand your knowledge base.
Responsibilities:
- Initiate and oversee the sampling processes and procedures for compliance and safety testing of extracts via 3rd party licensed laboratories
- Direct and contribute to post-processing of cannabis extracts for SeaWeed Co. including but not limited to: live resin, high terpene extracts, diamonds, badder, shatter, wax, sugar, full spectrum oils, and tinctures
- Follow SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) specifically and consistently during the processing of all products
- Understand and follow all safety protocols
- Troubleshoot and perform equipment maintenance as needed
- Record data for all procedures using appropriate databases and software
- Maintain an organized and clean laboratory environment
- Monitor system operations and perform tests as required
- Provide back-up support and/or training on the schaeffer cart filler
- Assist with packaging and labeling of finished products as needed
- Assist with opening and closing procedures of the building as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Must be 21 years of age
- Individual Identification Card issued by the Office of Cannabis Policy of Maine
- Maine State Drivers License
- Reliable transportation
- Previous experience in cannabis preferred but not required
- Demonstrated ability to set standards and hold team members accountable
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Effective at completing monotonous activities while maintaining quality and minimal errors
- Detailed oriented mind set with a focus on efficiency, quality and sanitation
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all employees
- Team player and experience working on a diverse team
- Ability to multitask various activities, machines and systems with urgency
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 50-lbs. Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 8-hours daily), push, pull, bend
Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
