Job Summary:
Join our team at Amber Court on the Lake as a Cook in our beautiful residential area, Senior Housing/Assisted Living building located in Ronkonkoma. As a Cook, you will have the opportunity to inspire resident meals and work in a fast-paced environment that promotes collaboration and respect amongst staff from varied backgrounds.
Responsibilities:
- Create and prepare nutritious and delicious meals for our residents under the direction of the Food Service Director
- Ensure all meals made follow the recipes provided by Amber Court on the Lake
- Food handler’s license/certification preferred
- Preference given to those with Adult Care Facility experience
- Salary range based on culinary experience and working with a residential senior population
- Preferred 1 year of cooking experience

6am-2:30pm

Working Conditions:
- Must be able to stand for long periods (up to 8 hours) and work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Requires frequent bending, lifting, and reaching.
- Exposure to hot surfaces, open flames, and sharp utensils.
- Must be able to tolerate exposure to varying temperatures, including walk-in refrigerators/freezers and warm kitchens.
- Work schedule may include weekends, holidays, and early morning or evening shifts based on resident needs.
Requirements:
- 1 year of cooking experience required
- High school diploma or equivalent required
