Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Autism Teacher to join our dynamic educational team. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement personalized lesson plans aligned with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to meet each student’s specific needs.
- Utilize evidence-based teaching strategies such as applied behavior analysis (ABA), behavioral therapy, and instructional modifications to support student progress.
- Incorporate educational technology, learning tools, and assistive devices to enhance learning experiences across subjects including literacy, math, science, and social skills.
- Collaborate closely with speech therapists, occupational therapists, and other specialists to coordinate interventions like speech therapy and recreational therapy.
- Manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement techniques and effective behavior management strategies for students with diverse needs.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to share progress updates, discuss goals, and provide resources for continued support at home.
- Ensure compliance with educational laws, regulations, and standards related to special education, including documentation of student progress and IEP goals.
Skills
- Extensive experience working with children with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), and related conditions.
- Strong knowledge of special education law, IEP development, instructional design, and educational compliance standards.
- Proficiency in using educational technology tools for instruction and assessment purposes.
- Skilled in curriculum development tailored for early childhood education, preschool settings, or private school environments.
- Expertise in classroom management techniques that promote positive behavior and foster a safe learning environment.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods for students who are deaf or visually impaired or require specialized accommodations.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with colleagues, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience implementing speech therapy techniques, literacy education strategies, math instruction, and physical education adaptations.
- Knowledge of behavioral health practices including applied behavior analysis (ABA) and behavioral therapy approaches.
- Passion for mentoring students with disabilities while promoting their social-emotional well-being.

Pay: $51,402.00 - $84,518.00 per year
