Maintenance Technician
Job Type: Full-Time
As a Maintenance Technician, you'll help maintain the grounds, common areas, and guest rooms to ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming property. You'll inspect the property regularly, identify repair needs, and complete a variety of maintenance and grounds work.
Responsibilities
- Inspect the property for trash, safety hazards, and needed repairs
- Diagnose and repair HVAC/AC units in guest rooms and common areas
- Perform routine filter changes and preventive maintenance
- Perform electrical repairs and replace light bulbs, outlets, switches, and other fixtures as needed
- Perform basic plumbing repairs, including unclogging toilets and drains and repairing leaks
- Perform carpentry and general building repairs
- Replace window screens and air filters
- Move appliances and perform light painting as needed
- Complete make-readies for vacant rooms, including trash removal, caulking, and appliance and smoke detector checks/repairs
- Operate mowers, trimmers, and other powered or hand equipment for lawn and grounds upkeep
- Prune, trim, mulch, and maintain flower beds and landscaping
- Respond to guest room maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner
- Repair fences, benches, doors, and other property structures using hand or power tools
- Identify maintenance issues and communicate service needs to management
- Keep maintenance areas, tools, and equipment organized and in good working condition
- Follow all OSHA, company, local, state, and federal safety guidelines
Requirements
- Previous maintenance experience preferred
- Experience with HVAC/AC repairs, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general building repairs
- Reliable, self-starting, and customer-service oriented
- Comfortable using basic hand and power tools
- Able to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues
- Able to work independently and prioritize tasks
- Able to work evenings and weekends as needed
- Must pass a background check and drug test
- Professional, neat appearance and positive attitude
