As Field Safety Supervisor you will be responsible for safety and training, reviewing our safety practices and enforce policies and procedures in the field. Identify safety concerns with drivers and with equipment (Class A Tractors & Tanker trailers), and present solutions.
You will be working with our management team to:
- Ensure our policies and procedures are effective
- Provide effective education and training programs for drivers and trainers, individually and in groups
- Maintain company compliance with all state and federal regulations, and with best practices for the trucking industry
- Promote a culture of safety awareness through team leadership, ongoing training implementation, and clear communication of safety expectations.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Fuel Transportation Experience
- CDL A license, with Hazmat & Tanker endorsements
- Outstanding communication skills, written and oral
- Strong computer skills, able to use various programs and platforms to store and communicate safety-related information
- Ability to build good relationships with drivers, peers, management and customers
- Ability to work under pressure while staying organized and focused
- Experience in supervising and training drivers
- Experience with ELDs, drive-cams, spot-checks, driver observations, equipment inspections, incidents and accident investigations
- Experience with DOT, FMCSA regulatory compliance
- Ability to travel in Southeast 30% of the time, and be on call 24/7
