Donut Decorator & Barista
Location: Mochi Mama, Harrisburg PA
Job Summary
Mochi Mama is looking for a creative, enthusiastic, and customer-focused Donut Decorator & Barista to join our team! In this role, you'll decorate our fresh mochi donuts with artistic flair while maintaining the highest standards of quality and presentation. After decorating, you'll transition to the front of house as a barista, preparing drinks, other menu times, and providing exceptional customer service in a fun, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
- Decorate fresh mochi donuts using glazes, sprinkles, drizzles, and other toppings to create beautiful, eye-catching designs.
- Prepare donuts according to established recipes and quality standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workspace while following all food safety and hygiene guidelines.
- Assist with food preparation, including mixing ingredients and operating kitchen equipment.
- Prepare and serve coffee, boba drinks, poke bowls, sushi tacos, and other menu items.
- Deliver friendly, attentive customer service by greeting guests, answering questions, and making product recommendations.
- Accurately handle cash transactions, make change, and operate the Clover point-of-sale system.
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Assist with opening, closing, and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Experience decorating pastries or desserts is preferred but not required—we're happy to train the right candidate.
- Passion for food, creativity, and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of food safety and proper food handling practices is a plus.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Experience in a restaurant, café, bakery, or other food service environment is helpful.
- Comfortable handling cash and operating a point-of-sale system.
- Reliable, dependable, and able to work flexible hours, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
