Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Assistant Director for our childcare center to lead and support our vibrant early childhood education community. Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the director to develop and implement innovative curriculum plans that promote cognitive, social, and emotional growth for children across various age groups
- Lead staff supervision, including conducting faculty evaluations, providing instructional leadership, and supporting professional development initiatives
- Manage operational aspects such as budgeting, managing resources, and ensuring compliance with legal requirements related to early childhood education and childcare licensing laws
- Oversee personnel management activities including hiring, training, performance reviews, and personnel management in accordance with school policies and legal standards
- Engage in strategic planning efforts to enhance program quality, expand community outreach through fundraising activities, and develop long-term growth strategies
- Ensure adherence to special education law requirements and implement inclusive practices that support children with diverse needs
- Represent the center at community events, facilitate public speaking engagements, and foster positive relationships with families, stakeholders, and local authorities
Experience
- Proven experience in school administrative leadership or as a school legal knowledge expert within early childhood or K-12 educational settings
- Extensive management experience including supervising staff, managing budgets as an executive education administrator, and leading faculty evaluation processes
- Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, instructional leadership in education, and working directly with students in classroom settings
- Strong background in education administration with a focus on personnel management in education environments
- Familiarity with special education law and best practices for inclusive classroom instruction
- Prior experience working within a childcare or preschool setting is highly desirable
- Exceptional public speaking skills combined with effective classroom experience that inspires both staff and families
