Duties
- Design and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, physical education, and social-emotional learning.
- Foster a safe, inclusive classroom environment that promotes positive behavior management and classroom management strategies.
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities that support child development instruction, toddler care, and early intervention techniques.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to share progress, discuss concerns, and promote active involvement in their child's learning journey.
- Maintain detailed records of student progress, standardized testing results, and classroom activities in compliance with mandated reporting laws.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum enhancements and participate in ongoing professional development related to special education, Montessori methods, or preschool teaching best practices.
- Ensure classroom safety by adhering to health guidelines such as first aid and CPR certifications, and implementing child welfare policies.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with children in early childhood settings such as daycare, preschool, or private schools.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, curriculum development, and classroom management techniques.
- Experience with special education needs, early intervention programs, or working with students requiring additional support is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required; ongoing training in mandated reporting laws is essential.
- Demonstrated ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate literacy education, math concepts, physical education activities, and Montessori methods if applicable.
- Ability to maintain a positive classroom environment while managing behavior effectively through proven behavior management strategies.
- B-K License Is Preferred

Pay: $22.77 - $27.42 per hour
