Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education, active DHH teaching certification, and 1+ years Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Shape the educational journey of young learners at a well-established elementary campus as a dedicated educator for PreK through 6th grade. This contract role, based near Mansfield, TX, offers an opportunity to make a measurable impact for one campus serving students with unique communication needs.
You’ll collaborate with other education specialists, complete student evaluations, actively participate in ARDs, and ensure each child’s learning plan meets their individual strengths and challenges. Your expertise will help guide families and fellow educators in fostering an inclusive, growth-focused environment.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current and active Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH) teaching license through the Texas Education Agency (TEA)
- Experience in Texas school-based settings strongly preferred
- Proficiency in interpreting audiograms and implementing appropriate educational accommodations
- Knowledge of best instructional practices and specialized strategies for DHH students
- Strong interpersonal skills for teamwork with parents, staff, and students
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of PreK-6th grade students, tailoring approaches to individual needs
- Conduct comprehensive student evaluations and develop relevant intervention plans
- Participate in ARD meetings and contribute to IEP development
- Read, interpret, and implement recommendations based on audiograms
- Collaborate consistently with educational teams and provide advocacy for DHH students
