The University of Florida (UF) invites applications to fill The Evelyn F. McKnight Endowed Chair for Clinical & Translational Research in Cognitive Aging supported by the McKnight Brain Research Foundation. The successful candidate will have an M.D., M.D./Ph.D., or PhD degree and, in addition to their research program, will be expected to establish an active clinical practice, if applicable, in their area of expertise.
The Evelyn F. McKnight Endowed Chair for Clinical & Translational Research in Cognitive Aging will provide strategic vision and leadership for the McKnight Brain Research Foundation. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on understanding healthy cognition with respect to memory and learning in aging and reducing the burden of cognitive aging and memory loss- making a national and international impact.

The Evelyn F. McKnight Endowed Chair for Clinical & Translational Research in Cognitive Aging
- Develop and implement a comprehensive strategic plan for clinical and translational research that will inform clinical applications to prevent, delay or mitigate Cognitive Aging Intended to preserve, maintain, and optimize Brain Health throughout the Lifespan
- Lead and collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team of investigators focused on clinical and translational applied research to prevent, retard, or mitigate Cognitive Aging, intended to preserve and maintain Brain Health
- Secure extramural funding to support translational and clinically applied research on age related Cognitive Aging and the preservation and maintenance of Brain Health
- Mentor junior faculty and provide leadership in fostering a collaborative research environment
- Recruit additional faculty with a focus on building a collaborative team of clinical, translational and clinically applied researchers on age related Cognitive Aging and the preservation and maintenance of Brain Health
- Represent the McKnight Brain Institute and the University of Florida College of Medicine in regional, national, and international collaborations focused on clinical and translational research on Cognitive Aging and the preservation and maintenance of Brain Health
