Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Mission Readiness Trainer – Service to train, coach, and assess new and experienced autonomous vehicle operators. This hands-on role focuses on classroom instruction, field demonstrations, performance evaluations, and ensuring consistent compliance with established standard operating procedures.
The ideal candidate has previous Mission Readiness experience, a strong background in autonomous vehicle operations, and the ability to provide clear instruction and constructive feedback.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver classroom, hands-on, simulated, and on-the-job training.
- Coach new and experienced operators on daily Mission Readiness Service procedures.
- Evaluate hands-on assessments and provide documented feedback.
- Review operator performance and address identified training gaps.
- Conduct formal audits to ensure compliance with established SOPs.
- Collaborate with Training Supervisors, Project Managers, and operational leaders.
- Assist with reviewing and updating training materials and curriculum.
- Identify areas of confusion or inconsistency within training programs.
- Maintain operational proficiency by completing at least eight hours of Service or Service Associate work each month.
- Provide occasional operational support when necessary.
Required Qualifications
- At least three months of experience as a fully trained Mission Readiness team member.
- One to three years of experience in the autonomous vehicle industry.
- Strong knowledge of Mission Readiness procedures and responsibilities.
- Previous coaching, facilitation, mentoring, or employee-training experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to explain technical procedures clearly to trainees.
- Strong problem-solving, organization, and time-management skills.
- Experience working in a highly collaborative environment.
- Flexible availability to support scheduled training events.
- Willingness to travel up to 25%.
- Valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record.
- Ability to pass a background check, MVR check, and drug screening.
- Ability to wear ASTM F2412/F2413-compliant safety boots.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience facilitating classroom sessions or on-the-job training.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace, including Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Forms.
- Experience evaluating employee performance or conducting operational audits.
- Background developing or improving training materials and SOPs.
Interview Process
- 30-minute Zoom interview with the hiring manager.
- 90-minute panel interview.
