The
Project Manager (Assistant to the Head of Production) provides administrative, operational, and coordination support to ensure efficient management of rail production and maintenance activities. This role plays a key part in supporting day-to-day operations, tracking performance, coordinating communication, and ensuring compliance with rail industry standards.
Key Activities
- Assist the Head of Production in coordinating daily rail production and maintenance activities.
- Follow up on action items, deadlines, and operational priorities.
- Support coordination between departments (engineering, operations, supply chain, safety).
- Manage calendars, meetings, and communications for the Head of Production.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and production performance summaries.
- Maintain accurate documentation, records, and production data.
- Organize operational reviews and production schedule.
- Collect and analyze production and maintenance data (e.g., fleet performance, delays, availability).
- Prepare dashboards and KPI reports.
- Help identify trends and highlight operational risks or inefficiencies.
- Act as a liaison between the Head of Production and internal teams.
- Ensure clear communication of production priorities and updates.
- Support escalation and resolution of operational issues.
- Assist in coordinating production improvement initiatives and maintenance projects.
- Track project timelines, deliverables, and milestones.
- Support implementation of new tools, systems, or rail technologies.
