Duties
- Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, slicing, marinating, and portioning ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards
- Support the kitchen team during busy service periods by efficiently managing meal assembly and plating
- Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and quality in all food products
- Assist with inventory management, including stock rotation and notifying supervisors of supply needs
- Contribute to menu planning ideas based on ingredient availability and customer preferences
Qualifications
- Prior experience in dietary departments or dietary aide roles is highly desirable
- Proven background in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant settings with a focus on quality service
- Strong knife skills and familiarity with various cooking techniques
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
- Experience with meal preparation, catering, or food service operations preferred
