Job Overview
Legacy Personnel, Inc. is currently seeking a compassionate and dependable Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to support patients in the Oakland and Alameda, California area. This is a part-time opportunity offering 2 shifts per week with competitive per-visit pay.
As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will work under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist to help patients improve mobility, restore function, reduce pain, and achieve their rehabilitation goals in a home health setting.
Responsibilities
- Provide physical therapy treatments according to the established plan of care.
- Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, mobility training, balance activities, and functional rehabilitation.
- Monitor and document patient progress, responses to treatment, and any changes in condition.
- Educate patients and caregivers on prescribed exercises and safety techniques.
- Communicate patient progress and concerns with the supervising Physical Therapist and interdisciplinary care team.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation.
- Follow all infection control, safety, and regulatory guidelines.
Requirements
- Active California Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) License in good standing.
- Graduate of a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program (Preferred).
- Current BLS Certification.
- Minimum of 1 year of Physical Therapist Assistant experience.
- Ability to work independently while providing compassionate patient care.
