Assist in the pressing, batching, assembly, and packing processes required to manufacture Shaped Charges, Detonators, Cutters, Power Charges, and Well Stim products. Follow procedures to manufacture products by following written work instructions for each process step.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Determine correct components to be used during the pressing process against written work instructions and engineering data sheets.
- Transfer materials from storage areas to appropriate work stations vis dolly, cart, pallet jack, or by hand.
- Conduct visual in-process inspection on manufactured components.
- Utilize tools to cut bands on pallets and scoop mixing powders.
- Load components with explosive powders.
- Weigh the appropriate amount of material needed for the process step being performed as defined in the written work instructions.
- Complete necessary production and quality control paperwork as required by the process step being performed
- Maintain clean work area.
- Assemble components according to written instructions.
- Conduct visual process inspection on components being assembled.
- Report problems to shift supervisor.
- Pack completed products according to work instructions.
- Willingness and ability to follow instructions.
- Wear 100% cotton clothing (detonators only)
- Willingness to cross train in other areas of home department, as well as other product lines throughout the plant
- Entry level, required to train and obtain certification in 1 specific area of the department
