Job Summary
Barrett Paving Materials MWC is looking for skilled, safety-minded individuals to join our team as Asphalt Plant Loader Operators. In this role, you will be responsible for operating heavy equipment to move and manage materials that keep our plant running efficiently. You will play a key part in maintaining product flow, supporting quality standards, and ensuring a safe, organized work environment. Main Responsibilities
· Load trucks, hoppers, and processing equipment to meet production and delivery needs
· Perform daily equipment inspections and report any maintenance or repair needs
· Maintain accurate material counts and update inventory records as required
· Transport and organize materials across the yard to support efficient plant operations
· Assist with sampling, testing, and basic site checks under supervision
· Follow all safety policies, including PPE use and lockout/tagout procedures
· Keep work areas clean and organized; help with light equipment maintenance (fluids, lubrication, tire checks)
· Coordinate with dispatch, supervisors, and team members to ensure smooth operations
· Report hazards, spills, or unsafe conditions immediately and follow environmental protocols
· Identify opportunities to improve safety, efficiency, and workflow
Qualifications
· Valid driver’s license
· Ability to safely operate or learn to operate front-end loaders or similar heavy equipment
· Previous experience in construction, quarry, asphalt, or similar environments
· Ability to read basic schedules, instructions, and material measurements
· Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to perform routine equipment checks
· Ability to work well as part of a team and communicate effectively
· Willingness to participate in ongoing training and certifications
· Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and reaching
· Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly (heavier loads with assistance)
· Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
· Exposure to dust, noise, temperature extremes, and moving equipment
· Ability to operate equipment safely with adequate vision and hearing
· Required use of PPE (hard hat, steel-toe boots, safety glasses, hearing protection, high-visibility gear, gloves)
· Flexibility to work shifts, overtime, weekends, or holidays as needed
Preferred Qualifications

Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour
