Job Overview
Local hauls out of Opelika. 200 mile radius with most being within 50 miles. Day cab Kenworth W900 with step deck flat trailer. Hauling precast concrete. Customer unloads. You help load on yard and secure your load.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate tractor-trailers with manual transmissions across designated routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck and trailer to identify maintenance needs or safety issues.
- Plan efficient routes for timely deliveries while managing route driving responsibilities effectively.
- Communicate proactively with dispatch teams regarding delivery status, delays, or issues encountered on the road.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience in commercial driving
- Ability to perform routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks.
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
