Overview
The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) is responsible for providing high-quality, patient-centered nursing care to patients undergoing outpatient surgical and procedural services. The RN collaborates with surgeons and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure safe, efficient, and compassionate care throughout the preoperative, intraoperative (if applicable), and postoperative phases. This position is 1-2 days a week to start.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care according to established nursing standards.
- Ensure safe, efficient daily operations of the ambulatory surgery center.
- Maintain compliance with AAAHC standards, CMS Conditions for Coverage, OSHA, HIPAA, and applicable state regulations.
- Prepare patients for surgical procedures and ensure informed consent is complete.
- Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures for changes in condition.
- Administer medications, IV therapy, and treatments as prescribed.
- Assist physicians as needed.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and complete patient documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Have a heart for serving the people of Greenville, SC.
Qualifications:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
- BSN preferred.
- Preferred 2 years of experience
- Previous experience in an Ambulatory Surgery Center or surgical setting preferred.
- AAAHC accreditation experience strongly preferred.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records and quality management processes.

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
