This is a great opportunity for an individual to gain additional experience with a well-established but growing manufacturing facility.PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:- Under the minimal direction of a supervisor, responsible for quality parts produced on various machines, such as but not limited to CNC boring mill machines.- Responsible for set-up, operation, and inspection of quality parts for conformance to requirements, holding close tolerances and maximum efficiencies.- Studies and interprets drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces, sequence of operations, and setup requirements.- Measures and marks dimensions and reference points on material or work pieces as a guide for machining.- Detects equipment malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjusts the machine, within capabilities, controls, or control media as required to ensure quality of production. Reports all machine malfunctions to the immediate supervisor.- Assists in the solution of complex plant operating problems and/or cost reduction projects.- Operates a forklift and lifting devices for the movement of parts.- Communicates with supervisor, engineers, production control, quality, and other shop personnel for assignments and to resolve machining or quality issues.- Responsible for keeping equipment and work area clean and orderly, and performing basic preventative maintenance functions.- Responsible for the enforcement of all Company Health, Safety, and Environmental rules.- Maintain a clean & organized work area; utilize safe work habits.- Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS:- High School Diploma or GED is preferred (do not disqualify if they do not have this education level)- 2-5 years of experience operating a CNC Machine in a heavy manufacturing environment.- Previous Fanuc Control Experience highly preferred- Knowledge and application of precision measuring instruments and the application of such instruments, to include but not limited to calipers, ID & OD micrometers, depth gages, indicators, and scales.- Knowledge of various tool holders, cutting tools, boring bars, and inserts used on various machines.- Forklift experience preferred.JOB REQUIREMENTS:- Ability to pass a drug screen & background check.- Must be able to create your own setup.- Must be able to read drawings and specifications with an advanced understanding of geometric tolerancing and dimensions.- Must possess basic math skills, including but not limited to adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing, geometry, and algebra for the purpose of calculating material fabrication.- Superior interpersonal and communication skills.- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.- Able to work well in a team environment as well as self-directed when working independently.- Willingness to comply with all safety regulations and procedures.- Ability to adapt and be cross-trained to learn all job duties.- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.- Factory environment with a large range of temperature changes.- Ability to stand, walk, bend/stoop, push/pull, and repetitive movement up to 12 hours daily.
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
