Job Summary
We're looking for dependable, hardworking team members to join our coffee shop team. The position includes barista responsibilities, customer service, dishwashing, cleaning, and opening/closing duties. We're seeking someone who takes pride in keeping a café clean, organized, and welcoming for both customers and coworkers.
Responsibilities
- Prepare coffee, espresso, tea, and specialty beverages
- Provide friendly and professional customer service
- Operate the point-of-sale system and handle transactions accurately
- Wash dishes, utensils, pitchers, and equipment throughout the shift
- Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, restrooms, counters, and workstations
- Sweep, mop, sanitize, and complete daily cleaning tasks
- Restock supplies and assist with inventory organization
- Complete all assigned closing/opening procedures thoroughly and accurately
- Receive and unbox incoming orders
- Work efficiently and support teammates during busy periods
- Support sales efforts by promoting menu items and upselling products to enhance guest experience.
Qualifications
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and stay productive during slower periods
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Positive attitude and willingness to help wherever needed
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds
- Food service or coffee shop experience preferred but not required
- Excellent communication skills to engage with customers and team members alike.
- Flexibility to work various shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed.
