1 Position available for Special Education
Position is up to 5.5 hours per day (8:30am to 2pm)
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: (may include any of the following)
- Will assist in instructional activities and supervision of students in a structured (regular education classes) and unstructured (lunchroom, playground, field trips, bus) environment.
- Will assist in behavior management strategies and consequences, and may assist with self-help skills.
- Other duties as assigned by the administrator or teacher. Recess coverage may also be involved.
Other Details
1. High School diploma or equivalent.
2. Dependable work record is a must.
3. Positive and friendly work attitude.
4. Must have DPI Spec. Ed. Program Aide certification or be willing to become certified. A short-term substitute license would also be sufficient.
5. Ability to get along and communicate well with staff, students, and parents.
6. Ability to work with a minimum amount of supervision.
7. Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Job Type: Part-time
Salary: From $18.00 per hour
Schedule:
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- 8:30 am-2 pm shift
- Tichigan/Waterford, WI 53185: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Responsibilities:
- Provide support and assistance to students in math, literacy, and other academic subjects
- Collaborate with teachers to create and implement individualized lesson plans
- Assist with maintaining a safe and nurturing environment
- Support students' social-emotional development through positive reinforcement and behavior management strategies
Skills:
- Patience and empathy when working with students who have special needs
- Knowledge of special education practices and techniques for supporting students with diverse learning needs
