We are seeking a Development Engineer to join a high-impact engineering team supporting a major business transformation. Location: Auburn Hills, MI
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- 2+ years of experience in design and development in an industrial environment
- Strong knowledge of product development processes, validation, and engineering change management
- Experience with project management and cross-functional collaboration
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills
- Effective communicator with the ability to operate in a global, multicultural environment
- Automotive or complex manufacturing environment
- Exposure to ERP systems and engineering BOM management
- Experience with lean, quality systems, or VAVE initiatives
- Translate customer and regulatory requirements into functional product specifications
- Own engineering BOMs and manage product lifecycle changes
- Lead design reviews, validation activities, and DFMEA execution
- Ensure product design feasibility, including geometry, tolerances, and manufacturability
- Partner with cross-functional teams (manufacturing, quality, supply chain) to drive robust product development
- Support supplier development, tooling, and component specifications
- Apply structured problem?solving methods (Six Sigma / DMAIC) and continuous improvement practices
- Contribute to production launch readiness and technical documentation
