Job Description
The Supply Coordinator is responsible for developing systems to support supply acquisition and inventory control for patient care units in The James Cancer Hospital. Serves as a liaison between the different departments in regards to supplies and equipment. Helps maintain JCAHO standards in regards to the Environment of care.
The Supply Coordinator is responsible for managing the supply and inventory process for the in-patient care units. The Supply Coordinator is responsible for tracking inventory and the supply par levels to insure availability and prevent overstock. The Supply Coordinator is responsible for creating cost-saving strategies and participates in brainstorming meetings with the other managers. They are also responsible for maintaining patient care equipment and monitoring a clean patient care environment.
Work Schedule
Wednesday–Saturday, 9:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m. (Four 10-hour shifts per week)
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required and 1 year of experience in inventory management, supply chain, materials management, or a related healthcare support role. Demonstrated ability to manage inventory levels, maintain supplies and equipment, and work effectively with multiple departments. Strong organizational, communication, and computer skills required. Healthcare experience preferred.
