Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Infant & Toddler Closing Lead to oversee the final routines and safety procedures for our youngest learners at the end of each day. The Closing Lead will close classrooms, communicate effectively with parents and management, and uphold all health and safety standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children’s early development while fostering a positive and organized closing process.
Duties
- Lead the closing routines for infant and toddler classrooms, including diapering, feeding, and calming activities
- Ensure all children are supervised closely and safely during transition periods
- Communicate daily updates with parents regarding their child's activities, needs, and any concerns
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety of the classroom environment during closing procedures
- Document any incidents or concerns appropriately
- Utilize strong classroom management skills to maintain a calm classroom environment
- Ensure children's faces are washed, clothes are changed if needed and diapers fresh for end of the day pick up.
- Conduct safety checks of the classroom, including equipment and supplies, to ensure compliance with health standards
Skills
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles specific to infants and toddlers
- Certification in first aid, pediatric first aid, CPR, and child safety protocols
- Proven classroom management skills with a focus on early childhood education techniques
- Excellent communication skills for parent interaction and team collaboration
- Ability to handle child supervision responsibly while demonstrating patience and empathy
- Familiarity with daycare center operations, preschool routines, and daycare experience preferred
- Experience in behavior management strategies tailored for young children
- Background in teaching or childcare roles such as nannying or babysitting that involve working with young children

Pay: $15.00 - $16.50 per hour
