Summary
We are seeking an experienced Prep Cook to join our team at Neighborhood Alliance. In this role, you will play a vital part in preparing nutritious meals for our community members, ensuring that we meet their dietary needs while supporting our mission of empowerment and care.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of meals according to established recipes and dietary guidelines.
- Ensure that all food is prepared in a safe and sanitary manner following food handling regulations.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to maintain an organized and efficient kitchen environment.
- Help with menu planning and food inventory management as needed.
- Support the delivery of meals to clients and assist in meal service during events.
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas.
- Substitute driver as needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in food preparation or a related role required.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Passion for serving the community and commitment to our mission.
