We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Bartender/Server to join our dynamic team at Bellawood Farm. Bellawood Farm is an 82-acre farm with a full-service kitchen/restaurant, wood-fired pizza oven, butcher shop, event venue, and more! As a Server/Bartender, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional guest experiences by providing top-notch service and ensuring customer satisfaction. Your ability to provide exceptional customer service, work collaboratively with kitchen staff and maintain high standards of excellence will contribute to the overall success of our establishment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, wine, craft beers, and spirits, adhering to established recipes and presentation standards.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; process cash and card transactions efficiently.
- Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with guests warmly, answering questions about menu items, and making personalized recommendations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area and dining space, ensuring compliance with food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
- Assist in developing new beverage recipes and refine existing ones to enhance guest satisfaction; stay current with industry trends in mixology and beverage presentation.
- Manage multiple tables or bar stations simultaneously through effective time management skills while maintaining high service standards.
- Assist with food service duties during busy periods or special events such as banquets or catering functions to ensure seamless guest experiences.
Requirements
- Proven experience in food service or hospitality industry roles, preferably with fine dining or upscale establishments.
- Demonstrated expertise in cocktail mixing, wine knowledge, spirits handling, and beverage recipe development.
- Familiarity with POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS; ability to process cash transactions accurately.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor and excellent communication abilities.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations, proper food handling techniques, and basic math for retail math or cash handling tasks.
- Experience working with beverage programs that include craft beer, wine pairings, or mixology is highly desirable.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and professionalism.
