Experienced Janitorial Worker

Position Summary
This position is responsible for overseeing and performing a variety of janitorial and custodial services to maintain clean, safe, and orderly facilities. The ideal candidate will possess knowledge of proper cleaning procedures or demonstrate a willingness to learn industry best practices. This role requires leadership, accountability, and a commitment to quality service.
Background and drug screening required to gain site access.

Essential Job Functions

Responsibilities Include:
- Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors, stairways, and other surfaces.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, locker rooms, and other common areas.
- Lead and oversee the cleaning of offices, break rooms, stairwells, windows, and building interiors.
- Clean sinks, countertops, microwaves, refrigerators, and other break room fixtures.
- Restock restroom, break room, and common area supplies as needed.
- Empty trash receptacles, replace liners, and clean containers as necessary.
- Dust and clean office furniture, desks, blinds, file cabinets, windowsills, and related surfaces.
- Polish furniture, metal fixtures, and chrome surfaces using appropriate cleaning products.
- Assist with meeting and lunch setups, as well as post-event cleanup.
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels for cleaning supplies, chemicals, food, beverages, and related materials.
- Maintain janitorial and vending storage areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
- Ensure janitorial equipment is properly maintained and kept in safe working order.
- Follow proper chemical handling procedures, including labeling, dilution, and usage requirements.
- Remove litter, glass, and debris from grounds, sidewalks, and parking areas.
- Comply with all company safety policies and procedures.
- Perform additional custodial and routine maintenance duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous janitorial, custodial, or facility maintenance experience preferred.
- Ability to work independently and supervise cleaning operations when required.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to safely lift, carry, and move cleaning equipment and supplies.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and safety practices is preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $16.50 per hour
