Overview

Duties
- Operate heavy equipment including excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, water trucks, dump trucks, tankers, horizontal drilling rigs, and paving machinery to extract and process gravel.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety standards are met.
- Manage material loading and unloading processes efficiently while maintaining safety protocols on-site.
- Assist with site preparation, grading, and paving activities to support construction projects.
- Follow all safety procedures and environmental regulations to maintain a secure work environment for all team members.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate daily tasks and troubleshoot equipment issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment operation, maintenance logs, and production data.
Requirements
- Proven experience operating heavy equipment such as excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, water trucks, dump trucks, tankers, horizontal drilling rigs or paving machinery in a construction or quarry setting.
- Mechanical knowledge to perform basic troubleshooting and routine maintenance on construction machinery.
- Valid commercial driver’s license with experience operating large vehicles like dump trucks or tanker trucks.
- Strong understanding of construction site safety practices and environmental regulations.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining focus on safety and productivity.
- Ability to obtain MSHA certification.
- Prior experience in gravel pits or aggregate extraction is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate.
