Open ShiftsJob Summary:
Provides general care and education to patients under the direction of a RN or BSN. Performs tasks including scheduling, record-keeping, and maintaining supply inventory
Essential Job Functions:

Takes patient vital signs

Performs common tasks, including but not limited to:

Treating bedsores
-
Dressing wounds
-
Bathing
-
Dressing
-
Coordinates visits and paperwork for patient/doctor visits.

Record the client’s progress and conditions
-
Records and reports symptoms.

Reviews patient charts and records essential information, including medical past and history, reactions, treatments, etc.

Assists patients with daily hygiene needs.

Maintains inventory and stock of clinical and medicinal supplies.

Educates patients on current health issues.

Practices safety and health code standards.
-
Performs jobs assigned by head nurses and doctors as directed.
Requirements:
Job Qualifications:
Educations: Degree as a Licensed Vocational/ Practical Nurse
Licensure: Current Texas State License as an LVN/LPN, current Texas Driver’s License.
Experience: 6 months experience in acute care or rehabilitation setting, home health preferred.
Skills: Nursing skills as defined as generally accepted standards of practice. Good interpersonal skills.
Transportation: Reliable transportation and valid and current auto liability insurance.
Environmental and Working Conditions
Works in a patient’s home in various conditions; possible exposure to blood and bodily fluids and infectious diseases; ability to work flexible schedule; ability to travel locally; some exposure to unpleasant weather.
Physical and Mental Efforts:
Requires working under some stressful conditions to meet deadlines and patient needs and to meet patient/family individualized psycho social needs.
