Job Summary
Cesarina is hiring a Server to play a key front-of-house role in delivering an exceptional dining experience. This position is ideal for someone with previous server experience in a fine dining restaurant who thrives in a fast-paced, hospitality-focused environment and enjoys creating a polished, attentive, and memorable guest experience.
The Server will guide guests through the dining experience, take food and beverage orders, deliver polished table service, maintain strong menu knowledge, and support smooth coordination between the dining room, kitchen, and bar. The ideal candidate is warm, organized, calm under pressure, and committed to outstanding hospitality.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and take food and beverage orders accurately
- Provide attentive, polished table service throughout the dining experience
- Deliver food from the kitchen and drinks from the bar promptly and professionally
- Ensure orders are accurate, properly prepared, and presented to guests at a high standard
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in compliance with company standards
- Share detailed menu knowledge, including food, cocktails, wine, and guest recommendations
- Maintain awareness of guest needs and provide timely refills, table maintenance, and follow-up
- Serve water and bread and replenish as needed
- Remove used dishes and utensils and reset tables efficiently
- Prepare dining areas before service with proper table settings, tableware, and condiments
- Perform side work, including rolling silverware, pre-bussing tables, wiping tables, polishing, de-crumbing, and stocking service areas
- Follow all health, hygiene, food handling, and safety standards
- Communicate effectively with kitchen, bar, and front-of-house team members
- Maintain organization, urgency, professionalism, and a strong ethic of execution during service
- Accept direction and constructive feedback with a positive, team-oriented attitude
Required Qualifications
- At least 1 year of serving or bartending experience in a fine dining Italian restaurant
- At least 4 years of serving or bartending experience in a fine dining restaurant
- Strong understanding of hospitality, guest service, and fine dining service standards
- Ability to multitask and remain calm, professional, and attentive in a fast-paced environment
- Understanding of hygiene, sanitation, and food safety practices
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and carry heavy trays
- Flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, holidays, and high-volume business days
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Experience in high-volume, chef-driven, or award-winning restaurant environments
- Strong knowledge of Italian cuisine, cocktails, wine service, or upscale dining service
Availability Requirements
Candidates must meet the following availability requirements to be considered.
Full-Time Availability
- Minimum 5 days of availability per week
- Full weekend availability, including Saturday or Sunday
- At least 3 full weekdays availability, Monday through Friday
- Availability for holidays and high-volume restaurant days is mandatory
Pre-Existing Commitments
- No more than 3 separate pre-existing commitments
- No commitments longer than 10 consecutive days
- No commitments during major holidays or high-volume restaurant days, including:
- Thanksgiving
- Christmas
- New Year’s Eve
- Valentine’s Day
- Easter
- Mother’s Day
- Father’s Day
