To The Rescue is hiring a Medical Specialist - Direct Care to support individuals with developmental disabilities, brain injuries, and mental health needs in their home and community.
In this role, you’ll provide hands-on support with daily living activities, medication administration, and community engagement. You’ll play a key role in helping individuals build independence, stay safe, and achieve personal goals.

Provide hands-on support with personal care, meal preparation, and daily routines
Assist individuals in achieving goals related to independence, socialization, and daily living
Support community involvement through outings, activities, and engagement
Administer medications according to care plans and company policies
Monitor individuals’ health, safety, and well-being
Respond appropriately in crisis or high-pressure situations
Complete required documentation accurately and on time
Follow individualized care plans and ensure goals are being met
Communicate with team members and participate in trainings and meetings
Compassionate and patient individuals who enjoy helping others
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to stay calm and respond effectively in different situations
Dependable and able to follow through on responsibilities
Comfortable supporting individuals with a variety of needs
Must be 18 years or older
Valid driver’s license and eligibility for company vehicle insurance
High school diploma or GED required
CNA or prior caregiving experience preferred
Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in healthcare is a plus
Flexible scheduling with day, evening, and overnight shifts available
