American Traveler is hiring a General Ultrasound Technologist for an 8-week night shift assignment at a Level I Trauma Center, requiring 2+ years of experience and ARDMS AB and RVT certification.

Short term acute care hospital and Level I Trauma Center setting with 1,567 staffed beds

Ultrasound Tech - General unit

Patient population includes inpatients, outpatients, and ED patients

Night shift, 5x8 hours, Sunday-Thursday, 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM

Floating to sister facilities as needed
-
Uses Philips ultrasound equipment
-
Epic EMR preferred
-
No weekend or on-call requirements
-
Minimum 2 years of experience required

BLS certification required
-
ARDMS AB and RVT certifications required; ARDMS OB and Pediatric certifications preferred

License required if applicable
-
Teaching hospital, community hospital, and Trauma Level I experience required

Experience with Philips ultrasound equipment required

Skills in OB/GYN, general abdominal ultrasound, and vascular Doppler studies

Experience with ultrasound-guided biopsy/fine needle aspiration procedures

1 professional reference required for consideration

Perform general ultrasound imaging including abdominal, OB/GYN, small parts, and vascular studies

Conduct ultrasound-guided biopsies and fine needle aspirations
-
Teal scrub tops and bottoms required
-
Flu vaccine required with no declinations accepted

COVID vaccine and booster required, with religious or medical exemptions only

First-time travelers accepted

Local candidates not accepted; candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility

Former staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 2 years to be eligible as a traveler

Requests for RTO exceeding 7 days require additional approval
