ND Global Consulting Services, Inc. is seeking qualified Travel Medication Aides (MA-C) for anticipated assignments at the Wyoming Retirement Center in Basin, Wyoming.
The Medication Aide will work under the direction of a licensed nurse to administer medications and perform approved resident-care procedures for individuals with stable and predictable conditions. The selected professional will also assist with CNA-level resident care when those responsibilities do not interfere with medication-pass duties.
Four Medication Aide openings are anticipated for this skilled nursing and long-term care assignment. Candidate submissions are expected in late August 2026, with placements potentially beginning in early September 2026.
Assignment Location and Schedule
Wyoming Retirement Center
Basin, Wyoming
Available 12.5-hour shifts may include:
- Day shift: 5:30 AM–6:00 PM
- Night shift: 5:30 PM–6:00 AM
- Float shift: 8:00 AM–8:30 PM
Weekly hours and any guaranteed hours will depend on facility scheduling and operational needs. Final hours will be stated in the written assignment offer before acceptance.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer medications according to physician orders, facility policies, applicable regulations, and the rights of medication administration.
- Accurately document medication administration, approved procedures, observations, and resident responses.
- Monitor residents for medication effectiveness, side effects, adverse reactions, and changes in condition.
- Promptly report medication concerns, resident complaints, safety risks, and changes in condition to the supervising licensed nurse.
- Perform approved procedures within the Medication Aide scope of practice.
- Conduct capillary blood-glucose testing when authorized.
- Provide oxygen therapy and other approved stable-care procedures.
- Assist with established wound or tracheostomy care when permitted by certification and facility policy.
- Collect specimens and complete related documentation.
- Maintain infection-control, resident-safety, and medication-storage standards.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living outside medication-pass times.
- Support mobility, transfers, toileting, nutrition, hydration, hygiene, and comfort needs.
- Assist with emergency-response and facility disaster procedures.
- Perform CNA duties when they do not interfere with medication-administration responsibilities.
- Communicate professionally with residents, families, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members.
- Follow HIPAA, resident-rights, confidentiality, and facility-policy requirements.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Active and unencumbered Wyoming CNA certification before placement.
- Active Wyoming Medication Aide Certification (MA-C) before placement.
- Current CPR/BLS certification.
- Basic first-aid certification when required by the facility.
- Knowledge of medication administration, clinical documentation, infection control, and resident safety.
- Ability to recognize and report medication concerns and changes in resident condition.
- Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to perform the physical duties associated with CNA-level resident care.
- Ability to work assigned day, night, weekend, or holiday shifts when required.
Preferred Experience
Experience in one or more of the following areas is preferred:
- Medication administration
- Medication-pass responsibilities
- Long-term care
- Skilled nursing
- Geriatric care
- Dementia or memory care
- Assisted living
- Nursing-home care
- CNA-level direct resident care
Travel and Residency Requirements
Candidates must generally maintain a permanent residence more than 100 miles from the assigned facility, unless the client formally approves an exception.
Applicants must be willing and able to travel to Basin, Wyoming, and remain available for the approved assignment period.
