At BBSI, our Payroll Specialists become trusted partners to small and mid-sized business owners. You’ll help them navigate payroll, solve problems, improve processes, and make running their business a little easier.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Process accurate, timely payroll for approximately 60–80 client companies
- Be the go-to payroll expert and trusted resource for your clients
- Build strong, long-term relationships with business owners and their teams
- Help clients troubleshoot payroll, timekeeping, HRIS and accounting systems
- Identify ways to make payroll processes easier, faster and more efficient
- Train clients on payroll systems and technology
- Visit clients locally to provide hands-on support and training
- Become an expert on each client’s unique payroll needs and business
WE’RE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO
- Has 3+ years of payroll experience, preferably in a multi-client environment
- Truly enjoys customer service and helping people
- Is organized, detail-oriented and great at solving problems
- Can manage multiple clients and deadlines without losing their cool
- Communicates confidently with business owners and employees
- Enjoys technology and learning new systems
- Has a “how can I help?” mentality
- Takes pride in getting payroll right the first time

$30.00–$33.65/hour + 8% annual incentive opportunity

Salary and Other Compensation:
The starting pay for this position is between 30-34 an hour. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography, skills, education, experience, certifications, and other qualifications of the candidate.

Paid Time Off: Accrued sick leave of 1 hour for every 40 hours of work, with maximum based on state or regional requirements; vacation accrues up to 80 hours in the first year, up to 120 hours in years 2-4, and up to 160 hours in the fifth year; 6 paid holidays annually, 4 paid volunteer days annually.
