Lexus of Melbourne is looking to add a qualified Automotive Technician.

Responsibilities
- Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
- Demonstrate proficiency in the repair and diagnosis of Engines, Power trains to include differentials, transmissions, clutches, and drive shafts, Electrical systems including starters and alternators, HVAC systems, Steering systems, Electronics to include modules, sensors, injectors, cooling system etc., Brake systems including ABS, Suspension systems (spring and air).
- Identify warrantable repairs and document on repair order.
- Perform all levels of preventive maintenance services.
- Communicate with the parts department to obtain needed parts.
- Communicate with service consultants immediately if additional work is needed, recommended, If outlined work is not needed, or if the repairs cannot be completed within the promised time.
- Document all work performed and recommended on the repair order.
- Road test vehicles when required.
- Ensure customers' cars are kept clean during service.
- Lexus or Toyota Experience is preferred.
Requirements:
- Participate in ongoing manufacturer training.
- Supervise work of any apprentice technicians as assigned.
- Report machinery defects or malfunctions to supervisor.
- Report any safety issues immediately to management.
- Comply with federal, state, and local regulations, such as hazardous waste disposal,OSHA Right-to-Know, etc.
- Operate all tools and equipment in a safe manner.
- Maintain shop area neat and clean.
- Successful candidate will have prior experience with a proven track record of success.
- Other duties may be assigned.
- Must be able to lift over 50 lbs.

- ASE Certification (Preferred)
