Position Summary
You will serve as the OE Customer Service Specialist and EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) operations lead across all divisions at the San Antonio warehouse, including Bestop, Softopper, and Tuffy Security Products (BST). You will own the complete outbound customer flow to our Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) partners — Ford, GM, and Stellantis at a minimum, with Nissan and Toyota expansion desired — spanning EDI compliance, OE portal management, ASN accuracy, on-time shipment coordination, and proactive scorecard performance.
Beyond EDI transaction execution, you will coordinate with production teams at our San Antonio and Toluca facilities to ensure inventory levels support customer commitments. You will analyze inventory impact on customer orders and forecasts, lead cross-functional alignment to keep orders and forecasts on track, and serve as the primary voice to OEM customer contacts — driving confirmations, resolving issues, and lifting BST's scorecard performance to where it should be.

Recruitment Timeline
Application Deadline: July 31, 2026 (applications reviewed on a rolling basis)
Estimated Start Date: August 17, 2026
Note: This timeline reflects our current plan. We will keep candidates informed of any changes.
Key Responsibilities
- OEM Customer Relationship Ownership: Serve as BST's primary OEM customer service contact for Ford, GM, and Stellantis (plus Nissan and Toyota as coverage expands). Own the customer relationship on operational execution — confirmations, expedites, issue resolution, escalation paths.
- OEM Portal Management: Actively work each OEM's supplier portal — Ford, GM SupplyPower, Stellantis (Mopar / global supplier portals), plus Nissan and Toyota interfaces as those relationships scale. Push for confirmations, submit responses, follow up on open items.
- Scorecard Performance: Drive OEM scorecard performance across on-time delivery, ASN accuracy, quality signals, and communication responsiveness. Identify improvement opportunities and move the metrics that matter to our customers.
- Warehouse Coordination: Partner with the San Antonio warehouse team to schedule, manage, and expedite outbound shipments to OEM customers. Work hands-on with warehouse shipping systems and floor operations as needed to hit customer commitments.
- Inventory & Forecast Alignment: Coordinate with production teams at San Antonio and Toluca to ensure inventory levels support customer commitments. Analyze inventory impact on customer orders and forecasts, and lead cross-functional alignment across production, purchasing, and supply.
QualificationsRequired
- Tier 1 EDI / ASN expertise for Ford, GM, and Stellantis. This is non-negotiable — direct hands-on experience executing outbound EDI transactions to these OEMs, not theoretical or IT-support level.
- Proficiency with OEM supplier portals for Ford, GM, and Stellantis — able to log in, work active items, submit responses, and drive confirmations without a lengthy learning curve.
- At least 3 years of hands-on EDI operations experience — real day-to-day trading partner setup, transaction monitoring, error resolution, and chargeback prevention in an automotive OEM supply context.
- Strong analytical capability — able to analyze inventory impact, evaluate customer order and forecast data, and lead cross-functional conversations with production planning and supply chain leadership.
- Strong communication and coordination skills — able to work directly with external OEM customer contacts on setup, troubleshooting, and escalations, and to translate technical EDI issues for warehouse operators, customer service, and production teams.
- Currently located in the San Antonio area.
- Authorized to work in the United States now and in the future without employer sponsorship.
Preferred
- EDI / ASN expertise for Nissan and Toyota — key targets for expanding coverage. Both OEMs have distinct portal and EDI conventions that don't fully overlap with Ford / GM / Stellantis.
- Proficiency with Nissan and Toyota supplier portals.
- Bilingual Spanish/English fluency preferred — supports OEM customer communication as well as San Antonio and Bestop's Toluca facility coordination.
- Direct hands-on experience with EDICOM specifically — Bestop's platform for automotive OE and international / e-invoicing compliance flows.
- NetSuite EDI integration experience specifically — Bestop runs NetSuite as both ERP and Warehouse Management System (WMS), so NetSuite fluency accelerates ramp meaningfully.
- RF-SMART experience for warehouse mobile / shipping execution on NetSuite.
- Pacejet experience — parcel shipping automation for NetSuite. Bestop runs both RF-SMART and Pacejet as part of the warehouse shipping stack.
- Prior OEM scorecard improvement or supplier development experience — understanding of how OEMs measure supplier performance and how to move those metrics.
- Warehouse operations background — pick / pack / ship processes, WMS familiarity, comfort walking the floor.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Onsite role at our San Antonio, TX warehouse facility. Combination of office workspace within the warehouse and time on the shipping floor as needed.
- Standard business hours with flexibility for peak periods and time-sensitive OEM shipments. Occasional early-morning or after-hours availability may be needed for OEM customer coordination or expedite situations.
- Warehouse environment — typical warehouse conditions (temperature variation, noise, forklift traffic), regular walking on the shipping floor.
- Periodic domestic travel possible for OEM customer visits, Bestop's Toluca facility, or other facility collaboration.
- Physical requirements: extended periods of computer use, occasional light lifting (up to 50 lbs), ability to walk the warehouse floor.
- Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this role — see our accommodation statement below.
