Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medication Technician to join our team in providing exceptional care to our residents. The ideal candidate will have experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or hospitals and a strong understanding of patient care practices. As a Medication Technician, you will play a crucial role in administering medications, monitoring patient health, and ensuring compliance with medical protocols.
Duties
- Administer medications to residents according to prescribed schedules and protocols.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Monitor vital signs and report any changes in resident conditions to the nursing staff.
- Assist with tube feeding, catheter care, and other personal care needs as required.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Provide support for residents with Alzheimer's, dementia, and other developmental disabilities.
- Ensure a safe and clean environment for residents by adhering to infection control standards.
- Engage with residents to promote their emotional well-being and quality of life.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in assisted living, nursing home, or hospital settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and vital signs is essential.
- Familiarity with medication administration practices and procedures.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Compassionate demeanor with a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $18.50 - $20.00 per hour
