Overview
We are hiring Electrician Helpers to play a vital role in supporting skilled electricians on diverse electrical projects. This position offers hands-on experience in both commercial and some residential electrical work, providing an opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced environment. As an Electrician Helper, you will assist with installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems while ensuring safety and quality standards are met. Responsibilities
- Assist electricians with installing, wiring, and maintaining electrical systems on construction sites.
- Support the setup of low voltage and high voltage electrical systems, adhering to NEC (National Electrical Code) standards.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to aid in accurate installation.
- Operate testing equipment such as ohmmeters to troubleshoot electrical issues effectively.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all safety protocols are followed at all times.
Qualifications
- 3 years of prior experience working as an electrician helper or apprentice is REQUIRED.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic electrical testing equipment like ohmmeters.
- Knowledge of low voltage and high voltage electrical systems along with NEC compliance standards.
- Construction site experience demonstrating safety awareness and teamwork skills.
- Ability to support electricians with tasks involving blueprint reading and schematic interpretation.
- Strong work ethic with a willingness to learn new skills in a fast-paced environment. - Willingness for some limited travel but always home on weekends with up to $50 a day per diem.
