Energy Auditor-Home Energy Auditor
South Shore Community Action Council, Inc. - seeks a full-time Energy Auditor-Weatherization Auditor/Heating Systems Inspector, Monday to Friday, 7.50 hrs. per day, 37.50 hrs. per week, 52 wks. per year, at their main offices on 71 Obery Street, Plymouth, MA. Excellent employee benefit package. Base hourly rate-$24.72/hr. Salary range $24.72/hr. to $32.00/hr. commensurate with specialized licenses/training, for example; DOE, BPI, OSHA, Green Jobs, etc. education and experience. Salary commensurate with experience, training, years in the field, and education.

Core Duties:
Perform home energy audits and inspections, client education, health, and safety testing. Inspect weatherization work in process and provide technical advice and consultation to contractors. Inspect and evaluate heating systems for repair or replacement. Perform quality control inspections of completed weatherization and heating system work to ensure programspecifications are met. IRS mileage reimbursement for business trips outside of the normal daily commute, as approved by the Director of Energy Programs. Company vehicles rotated amongst the technical staff.
Core Qualifications: Ability to measure dimensions of residential spaces, including attics, basements, and crawl spaces. Perform mathematical calculations and incorporate program regulations and procedures. Ability to accurately record information, meet deadlines and maintain confidentiality. Ashrae 62-2 2016, LEAD Renovator’s Certification, OSHA 10, OSHA confined space, BPI certification (building science principals) preferred, or we will train suitable candidate. Appropriate candidates will be considered and training will be provided.
Minimum Requirements at employment:
· All candidates must undergo an in-depth background check where applicable;
post interview, prior to beginning employment, including drug screening, CORI, SORI, driver record.
· Date of posting 6/18/26-position open until a suitable candidate is found.
· Valid MA state driver’s license.
· Must be at least 18 years of age to apply.
