American Traveler is hiring an LPN/LVN with a valid NY state license and 1+ year of LTC experience for a night shift position at a long-term care and rehabilitation center in Vestal, NY.

Work in a state/government-run long-term care center offering rehabilitation therapies, skilled nursing, memory care, and wound care services

Unit specializes in long-term care (LTC) with an Alzheimer's and dementia patient population
-
300-bed facility with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:18-20
-
Night shift (NOC), 8-hour shifts scheduled 4-5 days per week (23:45–07:15); NOC shift is described as slower-paced

Every other weekend required upon center request

Charting system is PointClickCare (PCC); experience not required for consideration

Active NY state LPN/LVN license required; no license violations accepted — license required if applicable

Minimum 1 year of LTC experience required; candidates with recent rehab, med/surg, or hospital experience may also be considered

Current BLS certification required

Must be able to pass a medication administration (med pass) test and clinical observation

Strong attendance, punctuality, and scheduling flexibility required

Responsibilities include administering medications and treatments, performing accurate medication passes, monitoring and reporting changes in resident condition, completing timely documentation, and supervising CNAs on assigned units

All RTO requests must be submitted at the time of initial consideration; no RTO will be approved after an offer is extended, and candidates cannot take every holiday off

Shift and scheduling changes cannot be made once an offer has been accepted

Shift change cannot be accommodated after offer acceptance

Relias compliance modules must be completed no later than 3 days prior to the assignment start date; access is sent via email within 48 hours of offer acceptance — check spam/junk folders if not received

Compliance onboarding takes approximately 1.5–2 weeks

Call-outs must be reported with more than 24 hours advance notice
