Staff Nurse II (12 Hour) - Endoscopy/Specials - Per-Diem; Varied Shift
Position Summary: Under the leadership of the Unit Director, Nursing Supervisor, and/or Charge Nurse, the Staff Nurse II is responsible and accountable for planning directing, assessing and providing nursing care according to the mission, philosophy, policies and procedures of Watsonville Community Hospital. Important dimensions of this position consist of quality of care, professional commitment, teamwork, interpersonal skills, safety, good public/customer relations and a broad nursing knowledge.
Education:
- As determined by California Board of Registered Nurses.
Experience:
- A minimum of 1 year of acute care nursing; a minimum months in endoscopy
- Completion of applicable Hospital and department specific RN competencies (within 3 months of hire/transfer).
- Basic keyboard knowledge and willingness to develop computer competency within 6 months.
- Fluent in English. Bilingual language skills desirable. Ability to communicate clearly.
- Successful completion of Pharmacology Assessment Exam.
Licenses and/or Certifications:
- State of California RN license and American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BCLS.
ACLS required prior to the completion of orientation and independent assignment.
