Job Description
Uncle Stevey's Bagels is seeking to fill a back of house position that will assist the bakers and prep cooks. The position will learn and assist in back of house duties including prepping ingredients for front of house and making bagels. Tip Sharing in addition to hourly pay.
Requirements
- MUST HAVE RELIABLE TRANSPORTATION
- MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK SHIFTS OF BETWEEN 4 AND 8 HOURS ON SATURDAYS AND SUNDAYS BETWEEN 6AM AND 3PM
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- At least 18 years of age
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to read and comprehend written instructions
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, weekends, and holidays
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Preferably one year of prep cook experience in the food industry
Duties and Responsibilities
- Follow all safety procedures and standards as set by the company.
- Assist bakers making bagels. Baking experience a big plus. Willing to learn bagel making process.
- Assist prepping ingredients for bagel sandwiches, salads and sides in the bagel shop.
- Must be willing to help with dishes in down time.
- Position offers the opportunity for growth to become full time baker and/or full time prep cook
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
