Substitute After School Care Staff

A Substitute After School Care Staff position with ESS may be the opportunity you’re looking for! When a teacher is absent, a qualified substitute is needed to carry out the educational program. As a Substitute After School Care Staff, you’ll become an integral part of a school’s educational team, amplifying your expertise while maximizing the learning experience for students!
An ESS Substitute After School Care Staff assists with duties as needed. This person aids students in understanding subject matter, and ensures that regular classroom routines are followed.
Responsibilities
- Maintain open communication between parents, staff, and school personnel.

Prepare activities that are developmentally appropriate for the age of the children.

Communicate with the parents through daily drop-off and pick-up.
- Maintain a safe environment for participants.

Monitor individuals or small groups of students assigned to the after-school programs.

Maintain appropriate order and student conduct.

Provide homework help for those requiring assistance.

Establish and maintain a safe and orderly classroom environment

Report any student injuries, illness, and serious discipline problems to the school administration

Perform other duties as directed by the school administration
Qualifications

Must be proficient in English (speaking, reading, writing)
Must be 21 or older with a high school diploma
