We are looking for experienced Manufacturing Supervisors to lead production teams in a transformer manufacturing environment. Supervisors will be responsible for safely leading employees, meeting production schedules, maintaining quality, and ensuring work is completed according to drawings and production requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, train, coach, and manage production employees.
- Assign daily work and ensure production schedules are met.
- Monitor safety, quality, productivity, and attendance.
- Read and understand production drawings, work instructions, and material requirements.
- Identify and address production problems, defects, and delays.
- Work closely with Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, Planning, and other departments.
- Reduce scrap and rework while improving production efficiency.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Communicate production status and issues between shifts.
Duties
- Supervise and manage manufacturing or assembly teams to meet production targets and quality standards.
- Oversee the interpretation of production documents, technical drawings, and work instructions to ensure accurate execution.
- Utilize measuring instruments and hand tools to verify product dimensions and assembly accuracy.
- Operate and manage equipment such as forklifts and power tools safely within the manufacturing facility.
- Enforce safety standards in production areas, ensuring compliance with safety protocol adherence and conducting regular safety audits.
- Lead process improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow, reduce waste, and enhance efficiency.
- Conduct heavy lifting and manual handling tasks as required while maintaining proper ergonomic practices.
- Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods, coordinating with procurement to ensure continuous production flow.
- Interpret technical drawings and manufacturing documentation to troubleshoot issues and guide team members effectively.
- Promote a culture of safety, quality, and teamwork across all shifts through training, coaching, and performance feedback.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of relevant manufacturing experience, preferably in transformer, electrical, electromechanical, switchgear, or similar manufacturing.
- 1+ year of leadership, lead, acting supervisor, or supervisor experience.
- Ability to read manufacturing or assembly drawings.
- Experience leading production employees and managing daily priorities.
- Strong understanding of safety and quality procedures.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work with multiple departments and shifts.
