The Role
This multifaceted position combines creative drafting, advanced CNC programming, and detailed material estimation to ensure seamless project execution. You'll collaborate closely with designers, project managers, and production teams to deliver high-quality millwork solutions that meet client specifications and industry standards. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed architectural millwork shop drawings and production drawings.
- Develop and maintain CNC programs for routers and woodworking machinery.
- Generate cut lists, nesting layouts, and manufacturing documentation.
- Perform detailed material takeoffs from architectural plans, elevations, and millwork drawings.
- Quantify sheet goods, veneers, laminates, hardwoods, solid surface, hardware, glass, metal components, and related materials.
- Coordinate with engineering, production, and project management teams.
- Review project documents for scope completeness and constructability.
- Support purchasing by providing accurate material quantities and procurement lists.
- Maintain drawing revisions and production documentation.
Required Experience
- 5+ years of architectural millwork drafting experience.
- Strong AutoCAD skills.
- Experience with CNC programming and manufacturing workflows.
- Ability to read architectural and interior design drawings.
- Strong understanding of commercial millwork construction methods.
- Experience preparing accurate material takeoffs and bill of materials (BOMs).
