Position Summary
The Dry Clean Spotter plays a key role in ensuring garments are properly prepared, treated, and ready for cleaning and finishing. If you’re detail-oriented, physically fit, and able to work in a fast-paced production environment, we’d love to meet you.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect and sort incoming garments, identifying fabric types, special treatments, and stains.
- Apply appropriate pre-spotting and spot-treatment processes to remove stains.
- Assist with operating or supporting dry-cleaning machines, washers, dryers and finishing equipment (as needed).
- Maintain the spotting board and supplies: stain-removal agents, detergents, solvents.
- Collaborate with pressers, finishers, and production staff to ensure garments meet quality standards and customer expectations.
- Uphold safety and chemical-handling protocols (PPE, ventilation, proper chemical use).
- Keep the workspace clean, organized, and efficient.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Previous experience in dry-cleaning, laundry, spotting or a related garment-care role preferred.
- Strong attention to detail: ability to recognise types of stains/fabrics and select correct treatments.
- Physical stamina: standing for long periods, lifting items (up to ~50 lbs or more), and working in a production environment.
- Good mechanical aptitude (helpful for equipment use).
- Reliable attendance and punctuality; ability to work shifts and meet production schedules.
- Ability to read garment care labels, follow instructions, and maintain high quality standards.
- Previous experience with Realstar, Union, or Firbimatic (FMB Group) required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with spotting chemicals/solvents used in dry-cleaning.
- Experience in high-volume or luxury-garment cleaning operations.
- Experience with tagging systems, laundry software, or production tracking.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $67,600.00 per year
