Position Overview
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Pantry Cook to join our kitchen team. In this position you will have the vital role of preparing pre-made foods for our grab-n-go cooler. This involves learning how to prepare staple pre-made food items (like sandwiches, salads, dips, fresh juices and more), roll out newly established offerings, and implement premade seasonal offerings.
Hours typically are 7:30am - 3pm Tuesday - Saturday (off days are Sunday+Monday)
This role also supports the kitchen by preparing ingredients, assisting with food production, and maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation.
Your culinary skills will help ensure smooth meal service and uphold our commitment to quality. This position offers an exciting opportunity to grow your culinary expertise in a laid back environment.
- Assist in food preparation for daily service, including chopping, slicing, and portioning ingredients
- Support the kitchen team with meal assembly and packaging according to recipes and standards
- Anticipate and record supply needs
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including juicer, food processor and oven.
- Follow food safety sanitizing procedures to maintain a clean and hygienic work environment
- Ensure proper food handling techniques are adhered to at all times
- Contribute to high-volume food production while maintaining quality and consistency
- Previous food service experience or passion for preparing food required
- Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitizing procedures
- Knife skills and attention to detail in recipe adherence
- Ability to clearly communicate and retain guidelines
- Knowledge of catering is a plus
